Hey Reader,

So I moved a few months ago to a new apartment.

And you'd think after years of producing podcasts professionally, setting up my new home studio would be... easy?

Haha nope....

I think the lighting is weird! like, weird shadows, my background is off. The whole vibe feels... off.

The audio? That's fine. (Thank god for that, at least.)

But every time I sit down to record, there's this little voice that goes: "This isn't right. You're a podcast producer. It should look perfect."

And here's the thing - I could wait.

I could spend weeks tweaking the lights, ordering new gear, rearranging my desk seventeen times until it finally feels professional.

But here's what I know:

Consistency beats perfection. Every. Single. Time.

Because the truth is, your audience DOESNT CARE if your lighting is a little off or your setup isn't Instagram-worthy yet.

They care that you show up.

They care about the value you bring, the stories you share, and the connection you build, not whether your ring light is at the perfect angle.

And honestly? The podcasts that actually grow aren't the ones with the fanciest setups (aka stop comparing yourself to Diary of a CEO).

They're the ones that keep going. Week after week. Episode after episode. Even when it's not perfect.

So yeah, my studio setup is a work in progress. AND I'm recording anyway.

Because I'd rather have a slightly imperfect show that exists than a "perfect" one that never launches.

If you've been sitting on your podcast idea, or anything else, because it doesn't feel ready yet, I'm giving you permission to let that go.

Done is better than perfect.

Messy action beats pristine planning.

And the world needs to hear what you have to say, even if your lighting's a little wonky.
